Hotel "FANTAST"
The tourist complex “Fantast” is situated in the southern part of Bačka, in the Municipality of Bečej, on the road Bačka Topola – Bečej, 14 km away from Bečej. On the area of 65 ha there is a castle, a horse farm, a small castle, a chapel, a park and other objects. The hotel has two apartments at its disposal, one three-bed and seventeen double bed rooms, a restaurant for 90 people, a café bar for 25, a conference hall for 80, a grand salon and a car park.
The castle was built at the beginning of the XX century. It was built by a famous manor owner Bogdan Dunđerski (1862-1943).
The building is of enormous architectural value and it is an extraordinary mixture of baroque, romantic and neo-classical architectural styles. The castle consists of two circular and two conical towers and the biggest, the dominating one, was built in the tradition of the medieval castle towers – a donjon.
The chapel next to the castle was built in a neo-Byzantine style and it has an invaluable iconostasis. The iconostasis was painted by Uroš Predić (1857-1953).
The horse farm belongs to the ranks of the most famous in this part of Europe and the best known horses in former Yugoslavia were bred here.
Today there is a riding school organized here and there is a possibility of hiring a horse to tourists. Within the complex there is a park with the multitude of various tree species and walking paths. In the vicinity of the hotel there are tennis courts at visitors' disposal, and there is also a landing ground for small aeroplanes.
